Definitions of the term “podcasting” – with reference to sources cited etc. Further information by author (recommendations, reviews of podcasts etc)

This would be a good introduction to our “Podcasting” section of the website. However, it is rather extensive – need to sift through the information.

Links:
A variety of links about investigative journalism, and what it means to be a journalist. Most of the sources are relevant but they would be better if the links for them actually worked! The links for; Taliban Country, The Future.Com, Gizmodo, The Vanishing Newspaper and State of the Media do not work. However, the concept is worth considering; a page leading to studies on journalism, multimedia and convergence. Ofcourse, we’d need to update these sources with recent articles, books and links.

Also, I don’t think a display of random links on a page looks very attractive. We would need to provide users with a “contents” like option to be able to comfortably surf through the links; perhaps sub-categories for the links? (“journalism links”, “multimedia links”, “articles of interest” etc etc)

The links are accompanied with blurbs – a good idea!

About 420:
A page consisting of a subject outline of HAM420. I think we would need this – a good background on what we’re trying to achieve through the website. We could probably upload a class photo, and incorporate brief quotes from the crew?

Interviews:
A link consisting of a transcript from the interviews conducted. I’m guessing ours would have a lot more content? Perhaps we could have an audio and even visual copy of the interviews along with the transcript? Depending on how literal we’ll be getting – convergent journalism!

Text:
General quotes from credible sources; defining what convergent journalism is – Rupert Murdoch and John Cokely.
Do we really need this?

Reviews:
A page consisting of music and concert reviews.
How relevant is this?
